I am an atheist and have read or liesnetd to all of the four atheists that you mentioned. They are often called the four horsemen of atheism'. I am sorry if you find their tone disrespectful or offensive. I believe that they make a number of interesting points. They are simply saying that the burden for proving anything rests with the prover rather than the dis-prover. This is why the flying spaghetti monster' argument so often comes up. It is just as likely to exist as the Christian god until definitively proven to not exist. I do agree that most Atheists and evangelical Christians have trouble talking to each other, but I would like to believe that they are trying. What disturbs me more than the squabbles among these two types (who almost universally avoid each other) is the incredible deafening silence of the average person, regardless of if they claim religious affiliation or not. I work hard to engage in dialog with people who have beliefs which are much different from my own. Would you rather we talk to you, about you, or ignore you entirely? I know that I would rather you talk to me.
