Did I miss something? Exactly what was it about Lego that you were talking about? You dove right in and started talking about Lego but was there a story this week about them? Were you referring to the hack that users were doing to their software?

Am I crazy or did you guys not give background on why you were referencing them?

Thanks for mentioning my point last week about 'lighter blogging ahead'. Of course, a blog is a personal thing, so you should say what you want.

But my feeling is that if one is still going to post at least once a day, one doesn't have to excuse oneself. People know you are still around, that you haven't been knocked down by a bus or whatever.

To say you are going to do it less often is to suggest that the blogging is the important thing, rather than the message you are trying to convey.

But then again, the length of posts may be an important factor. Seth Godin usually does fairly lengthy posts, but a day or two can go by without any from him at all. When the blog is more like a linkblog, with a dozen or more posts a day, a slowing of posts can perhaps mean more than just that the blogger is away from the office.

I must admit, I'm drawn to longer posts, carefully written, and I sigh if I return to a feed after a day and see a figure of a dozen unread posts.
